I went to Evanston to play the piano for Jaimie to sing in church. The girls wanted me to read them a book. I wanted to feed Macy, but the girls didn't want to move. So I got all three :-)

Dad took out all the dead trees and lilacs at the workhouse. He's digging up the roots here.

It looks pretty bare now. We will have to plant some new trees.

Eee Haw! He had that tractor bucking as he tried to work the dirt out of the root balls. He said he was working hard, but it looked more like fun than work. Dad loves his tractor!

Mom's first motorcycle road trip.

On Monday, I talked mom into going on a motorcycle road trip. It was her first. She did not really want to go but did not want to stay home alone, because I was going with or without her. We went to Silver City, Idaho. It is located about 50 miles SW of Mountain Home, Idaho. The weather was great. The scenery gorgeous. The road paved except for the last 17 miles. The mountains are old, weathered granite so the last 17 miles the road was hard with weathered out quartz crystals all over it. Kind of like riding on a gym floor covered with BB's. The night was gorgeous and unseasonably warm. I was mildly comfy all night in a cheap Wal-Mart sleeping bag on a airless thermarest on the weathered granite. Mom slept comfy in MY down bag with a pad on top of MY cot. I cooked egg, cheese, and ham breakfast sandwiches with Mountain Dew. Awesome, absolutely awesome. I hope she didn't like it too much because now she'll want to go every time and expect the same treatment.
