Our New Little Sweetheart

Baby Stats

Baby Krupp #3 weighs 6 lbs. 4 oz. and is 19 inches long. She has redish blond hair that looks like it will be curly like Jaimie's. The delivery went very well and was fairly easy. Jaimie is feeling pretty good. She is expecting to go home on Friday around noon.
Jaimie sent this picture from the hospital. Baby #3, a girl, was born at 12:18 pm today, Thurs., Feb. 26th. All is well. I am in Evanston helping with the girls. After their nap we get to go meet baby sister!

Mystery Solved!

OK-We have an explanation for all the weird store displays in Germany. Uncle Todd served his mission in Germany and sent this explanation. Thanks Todd!

The holiday is called Fasching and continues for a few weeks. It is similar to the Mardi Gras festival that is celebrated in New Orleans and parts of South America (Brazil) where it is one big party.

We miss this little guy!

Jack continually makes this little car noise. He makes it when he plays with cars, when he gets in the car to go or when he sees other cars. Since we have been home from our vacation we have been missing the little guy! Occasionally Dad will immitate Jack's little car noise and it brings a smile to our faces. We love Jack!

Bundled!

It was cold so Harmony had Jack bundled up really good. I think he was pretty comfy!

Dachau Concentration Camp

Thoughts on the Concentration Camp

Visiting this site was very sobering. There was a mixture of feelings for me. Darkness, repulsiveness and extreme anger because of the evil men that would do this sort of thing. Reverence, compassion and sorrow for those who were tortured, confined,or lost their lives. Relief & gratitude for the United States Military helping these people.

It is hard to send my son off to war. As I viewed the pictures of the military rescuing these people and destroying the evil government that would allow this to happen I understood more the need for our military to go to war. The US entered Iraq to conquer a government who had threatened weapons of mass destruction and who sympathized with terrorists. They have been able to capture and kill Saddam Hussein who was an evil man, who tortured, taxed, oppressed and killed his people. They are helping to rebuild, set up schools, and form a democratic government. The US overthrew the Taliban government who did the same in Afghanistan. They were harboring the very terrorists who seek to destroy the United States, who were responsible for 9/11. The military continues our fight. We need righteous and good men fighting for our country. I'm grateful for a brave, strong son who is willing to do that for us. I worry about him, I love him, but I know that what he is doing is necessary and the Lord will be watching over him.

Playing with Jack

Showing Off

Harmony's Rules (Email we received prior to trip)

MOM AND DAD MUST BOTH READ THIS, especially Dad.

Okay, just wanted to make it clear that you must both relax and make yourselves at home while you're here. Don't act like guests! Most importantly, you must eat like it's your own house and not feel like you're imposing on me or costing me money by eating. You wouldn't want me to do that at your house. If you want the banana that is sitting on the counter, take it! If you want a soda, go and get one out of the fridge! Don't ask first. And for heaven's sake don't ask me how much any food costs or act like you're eating my money. If you do this I will be deeply offended.

We have 2 computers, a desktop and a laptop, and wireless internet. Use it whenever you want, if you can figure out how to work the Mac. I'll show you.

Also, don't feed Jack any soda or junk food. :)

Love, Harm

Disobedient Grandpa!
