Hunt in the Dark
OK, picture this. Jaxon, Brittany, Dad and I were sitting in the living room and saw a mouse run around the corner from the stairs, behind the piano and tv cabinet. Jaxon and Dad get up and to see if they can see the mouse. Then Jaxon has a great idea! Turn off all the lights and use Dad's night vision goggles to spot the mouse. These pictures don't look dark, but the room was totally black and this is Jaxon trying to spot the mouse.
Tribute to a Friend
It is with heavy hearts we mourn the loss of our dear friend Josh Jenkins, son of Curt & Launa Jenkins. He was a close friend of Dallon's. Josh returned from his mission to Thailand on Dec. 14th.Yesterday he was tragically killed in an avalanche while snowmobiling in Island Park. We will miss him and pray that his family and friends will be able to find peace and comfort in the coming days. We love you Josh!

Delay in Departure
We found out that Dallon's departure date has been postponed for a week or two. We will keep you posted.
Our Second Home
We bought a little house on 1.75 acres in Paul, Idaho (way out in the boondocks) about a year ago. Brian does most of his work in that area and living in a camping trailer was getting old (especially in the winter). This house was owned by the government and used for the ditchrider. It came up for auction online, so we went after it. It had new windows and a new roof when we purchased it. We put new siding on, painted inside, and we are working on refinishing the wood floors. Upcoming projects include the yard and a new front door. Most of the furniture came from our friend who owns a cleaning and restoration business, coffee and end tables from Craig's List, computer desk from the DI, my mom's old lamps that I spray painted, area rug from Bryce (my brother) & Jessica and a world map picture-hand-me-down from the Burgess family. How lucky (blessed) can you be? We love our little house! My sister requested pictures, so here they are.

We just sent our son off last night to go back to his army base in Alaska. It was probably the hardest thing we've ever had to do in our life. Dallon is in a Army Airborne Infantry Division and is a gunner (machine gun). He is leaving for the Middle East very soon.
We honor him for his courage and desire to serve his country and help make the world a better place. We love you so much Dallon! Our prayers will be with you!
